Icedogs Get Back on Track vs Northstars
On Sunday, The Bruce Peninsula Northstars headed to Tara for a matinee game vs the Rep Icedogs...
After a couple of loses against the West Grey Warriors and the Shallow Lake Lakers, the Novice Rep Icedogs came ready to do battle.
Having not scored a goal in the last 3 games, the Icedogs were tenacious from the first drop of the puck. 15 seconds in the puck finally found the back of the net. One more in the first and the Icedogs were up by 2 qt the end of one.
If anyone thought it was going to be easy, they were gravely mistaken for the Northstars battled back and tied the game at 2 apiece within the first minute of the second. A deep breath and a splash of water and the Icedogs were back at it scoring the next 5 goals in the second and third.
The Icedogs defense played exceptional - battling along the boards, keeping pucks in the Northstars end and finding the open player on the breakout. The forwards were buzzing like bees - firing pucks at the net from everywhere and as well making plays. When needed goalie Aidan S was there to make the save.
It was a good team effort Sunday. Let's keep the momentum going!
