IceDogs and Attack Play to a Draw
The Owen Sound Jr. Attack and Novice White IceDogs battled to a 6-6 draw in the final game of the regular season on a snowy Saturday afternoon.

With the stands full of scouts from the local Junior A franchise, it was all offence to start the game.  The Triple P line (Porter, Price and Price) were flying and spreading the puck all over the ice.  After a couple of close calls, the Jr. Attack caught a break and put one in behind Dylan L. on a Kucherov like deke.  The IceDogs would battle back after Brayden P. stripped an Attack player of the puck and fed Jesse who raced in and put one home.  The IceDogs would score again after Joey W. and Ashley L. worked the puck down low and fed a wide open Cohen H. who blasted a shot by the Attack net minder (they had to fix the netting after that one!)  The Jr. Attack would score a couple more but Brayden P. went back to back after some nifty passing from his line mates Porter and Jesse.  The Ice Dogs would lead by 1 after the first period of play.

The Attack were beginning to take over the play and would tie things up again to begin the second.  Jesse P. would rip home a shot after Porter dug out a loose puck to give the IceDogs the lead again.  The Attack caught a couple of breaks and would score two more to put them ahead by one at the end of the second.  Waylon G., playing centre, was checking and smartly moving the puck, trying to gain momentum back for the IceDogs.  The period would end with the Attack up by only one--and the IceDogs poised for a comeback.

The IceDogs continued to check and work hard knowing that the breaks would eventually swing their way.  Vivian and Quinn were their usual rock solid selves as they kept the puck inside the Attack zone and kept the Attack players to the outside.  Porter and Jesse again did the dirty work and Brayden P. would go top cheddar falling down (a la Bobby Orr) and the IceDogs would knot things up at 6.  Now it was Dylan L.'s turn to shine as he went went post to post to keep the game tied up in the dying minutes of the game.  The IceDogs would head to Boston Pizza with one point in the bank---a solid road effort team--and another great show for the fans!

Next up, the IceDogs play an exhibition game on Monday vs. their IceDog Black cousins--puck drop is 7 @ the Tara Cyclone Taylor Arena.
