Novice White IceDogs Rally to Beat Storm!
The Novice White IceDogs braved the storm outside and the Storm inside the Southampton Coliseum for a Sunday evening tilt.

The IceDogs were a bit jittery (might have been the stormy drive!)to start this one as the Storm flew out of the gate to take a 1-0 lead on a beautiful set-up from behind the net.  A controversial second goal and a breakaway made it 3-0 Storm after one period of play.  Dylan L had to make several key saves to keep the the IceDogs in the game during the first.

But these IceDogs have a "no quit" attitude and promised they would dig in for their goalie...and dig in they did.  Joey W. would sneak in off the blue line to bang in a rebound after Jesse P and Brayden P dug the puck free from a crowd and IceDogs were on the board.  The Storm continued to storm the IceDog net but Dylan L held his ground.  3-1 Storm at the second recess.

The IceDogs turned on the jets in the third.  Brayden P would sift in a goal from the slot after Quinn C. made a great play to keep the puck in at the blue line.  Quinn was at it again, this time keeping the puck in along the boards.  Porter B. and Brayden P would work the puck to the net and set up the screen as Jesse P ripped one in to knot things up at 3.  With time winding down, the "Hound" line went to work and created momentum for the last shift of the game.  After a Storm bounce led to a breakaway, Dylan L. made a kick-save-and-a-beauty to thwart the Storm attacker.  Then, with time winding down (52 seconds) Brayden P would skate down the wing.  IceDogs flew to the front of the net and with a couple of Storm defenders draped over him, Brayden would go post and in to give the IceDogs the lead.  Whooooa baby what a game as the IceDogs skated away with a 4-3 win and 2 points in the bank.

A great character win IceDogs with so many players doing the little things to get the team the puck or create scoring chances.  The coaching staff was extremely proud of all your efforts once again.

Next up, the IceDogs will tangle with their fellow IceDogs Black...should be another beauty.
