Novice White host Rebels for a Showdown in T-Town
The TCDMHA Rebels paid a visit to the Tara Cyclone Taylor Arena on Thursday night.

The Novice White IceDogs had this game circled on the calendar as it was Dog vs Rebel, cousin vs cousin and classmate vs classmate.  The stands were packed, the teams were psyched and this one was going to be a beauty.

The Rebels came out strong to start the game but the IceDogs didn't break and got on the board when Jesse P took a bank pass from Brayden P and got the IceDogs on the board midway through the first.  Jesse would pot another 2 goals before the period ended with carbon copies of his first goal after some hard work by the defence and wingers to get the puck out of their own end.  Porter B. and Cohen H. would pick up assists on the goals.  The Rebels would get back within 2 with a pretty snipe of their own just as the period came to a close.

The 2nd period started with Jesse getting his fourth of the game after a sweet deke around a poke-checking Rebel goalie.  The Rebel goalie and IceDog goalie Dylan L. put on a bit of a goaltending clinic after that with scintillating saves at both ends of the ice.  Brayden P would finally beat the Rebel goalie after winning a puck battle in front and banking one in.  5-1 IceDogs at the end of 2.

With the IceDogs trying some new line combinations, the third period was a bit of a scramble but the checking was tight and the goaltenders continued to keep the shooters at bay.  Vivian W. would get in on the action with a couple of close calls at the Rebel net.  The IceDogs would close out the scoring after Waylon G. made a terrific play along the boards to spring Brayden P in all alone for a blocker side rip job.  The IceDogs would skate away with a hard-fought 6-1 win.

Another great job IceDogs!  No time to rest as the IceDogs hit the ice for 5 straight days!
