Recap of Last 5 Games
After a nice showing at the AEMHA Elroy Cummings Novice Tournament, the IceDog Rep team headed into their toughest part of the season...
With 3 games against the league leading Hanover Falcons in 16 days as well as a game against the TCDMHA Rebels and a final one vs the Lakers from Shallow Lake, the boys put forth an effort that far out weighed the final score nor the outcome of any of these games.
There has been continued improvement on the ice - each game building upon the last. Faster skating, quicker passes, breakaways, tight checking, eliminating shots - you name it these players have done it and have only gotten better as the season wore on. In most cases the IceDogs took the play to the other team and showed better team play than their opponents - only to fall prey to a hot goaltender - who at the end of each game seemed exhausted by the amount of rubber thrown at him during these games...
It has been enjoyable to watch the players face the adversity that has been thrown at them over the last few games and continue to develop and become better, smarter players.
Now on to the final regular season game against Walkerton this Sunday.
