Here We go Again
Here we go again. Both teams from last weekend's beauty met up today for the second time in a week. This time the AEMHA fellas headed up to Wiarton to meet up with the Bruce Peninsula Predators who were hungry for some Ice Dog...
The game started out with both teams kind of feeling each other out. Not wanting to let anyone loose, both teams checked well. Then Gryphon B. had the puck at the top of the circle and fired one short side for the first goal of the game. The crowd barely settled down after that one when all of a sudden the Predators buried one of their own. Some say that it it the crossbar and out while others said it was back of the net... Regardless it was a nice shot and it seemed to fire up the Ice Dogs.
Ethan S. got the Ice Dogs back on top with a nice shot that seemed to confuse the Predators goalie.
The second period came and went in a blur! Both teams traded end to end rushes with both goalies standing on their heads. Great checking by Anthony K and Owen M to keep the boys up by one at the end of the second.
Right off the bat in the third Ethan S. buried his second of the game and that seemed to spur on the rest of the Ice Dogs. Karden C. found himself at the top of the circle and buried a beauty top cheese right over the Predators goalie's glove. Owen M. was next with a nice one through the legs and then Ethan S. finished it off with his third of the game.
The defense core led by Alec F and Carter G stood up the opposing forwards and made it tough for the Predators to get anything but a couple more shots on Peyton L. who played another great game.
Was fun to watch and all played very well. Great team effort!
