Novice LL White vs Red Game 1 of 2
On Sunday February 12th, Ice Dogs fans were treated to another Novice LL White vs Red epic battle as these two teams faced each other in game 1 of a 2 game round robin.
LL Red got on the board first but LL White was quick to respond as Nathan A scored his first goal of the season, assisted by Calista H.
The second period featured more end to end action and numerous scoring chances for each team.
Chris P, assisted by Calista H, gave the LL White the 2-1 advantage but LL Red got the tying marker late in the second giving them some momentum going into the third. However, LL White goalie, Karden C was there to deny each of their scoring chances.
Calista H got her third assist of the game as she received a pass from Randi-Lynn J 1:10 into the third period, and set up a goal by George I.
Lucas S would round out the scoring with two goals of his own. The first assisted by Joey W and the second by Ella M. This gave LL White some breathing room until LL Red pulled their goalie for one last push at the end.
Fortunately, LL White was able to hang on to their lead and the game ended 5-2.
