Novice Rep Sweep Round Robin!
The Novice Rep Ice Dogs completed their round robin schedule with 2 games against the Seaforth Stars.
Game 1 was in Chesley on a cold and snowy Saturday morning. Seaforth had just beat the Zurich Thunder but the Ice Dogs were competing for home ice advantage in the next series and came out firing on all cylinders. Brayden P. would get the Ice Dogs on the board with a nifty backhand into the back of the net (assist to Ethan S.) The two teams would play scoreless hockey the rest of the first period.
The 2nd period would see Seaforth knot things up at 1 with a goal toward the end of the period.
The Ice Dogs were not going to be denied in this one as they came up with a huge third period effort. First, Austin L would get a beauty onetime shot away after some great cycling by Landon B. and Brayden P. Landon would snap home a beauty of his own midway through the period (assisted by Austin L.) and he would compete the scoring with an empty netter (also assisted by Austin L.)
The Ice Dogs skated away with a 4-1 win and home ice in the next round.
