Novice Rep Ice Dogs Lose a Nail Biter vs Lucknow
The AEMHA Novice Rep Ice Dogs travelled south to Lucknow for Game 2 of their series with Lucknow and the fans got their money's worth in this one.

The Ice Dogs had a new game plan to start this game---keep the Lucknow squad off the scoresheet--and they executed it to perfection in the early going.  It was the Ice Dogs with all the pressure and the puck was in the Lucknow end for the better part of the first period.  Ethan S. made an electrifying rush but was denied by the red-hot Lucknow netminder.  Cole L. had a couple of quality chances too but the puck was either deflected or blocked on the way to the Lucknow goal.
The 2nd period was a penalty filled affair with both sides heading to the sin-bin on some questionable calls.  Peyton L. had to make some big saves to keep the scored knotted at zeroes and Austin L. nailed the post after bursting down the wing on a rush.  The score remained tied at 0 after two periods.
The third period saw the Ice Dogs again apply pressure but couldn't break through and get the opening goal.  Landon B. made several great plays to deny Lucknow entry into the Ice Dog zone and Owen W. (playing a new position in this one!) was all-world, keeping the Lucknow sharpshooters to the outside.  After another Ice Dog penalty, Lucknow would finally break the deadlock with only 3 minutes left to play.  The Ice Dogs would pull the goalie and get several chances to tie it up.  However, the game would end in a 1-0 win for Lucknow.

Great job Ice Dogs...keep playing that way and good things are going to happen!  Next game is Friday in Chesley...get your tickets early folks!
