With 3 exhibition games and 1 regular season game under their belts the Atom Rep IceDogs are just beginning to "find their feet" as a team.
In their most recent exhibition matchup the IceDogs took on the Shallow Lake Lakers on Saturday morning.
With one player and trainer AWOL, a coach under the weather and a one defenceman turning green it seemed the odds were stacked against the IceDogs as the game got underway.
At the end of the first the IceDogs were tired and and the goals were literally stacked against them. But they kept digging and skating.
The green defenceman couldn't handle another shift and the odds rose against the IceDogs once again. The view of bench looks lonely.
Shifts got longer as the bench got smaller, but the IceDogs kept going.
Despite the odds the IceDogs skated hard and continue to improve with every game. The IceDogs didn't give away this win to the Lakers. They made them EARN it! Good job IceDogs!!
