Off to Clifford again but this time we came home with a win.
It was our final game of the regular season and we came out on top against Mount Forest with a nice 9-2 win.
Mitch K started things off with a sweet pass up to Brandon, who came in on a break-a-way and fired the puck in bottom corner. Then we did a nice 3-way pass started by Mitch VV to Connor behind the net and finally to Tyler, who backhanded it in. Parker then shot the puck from just over the blueline, and it found its way in for a 3-0 lead after one period. The second period started off on a weird note as Mount Forest was awarded a penalty shot for one off our guys grabbing the puck in the crease, but Awesome Lawson made a great save to end that weirdness!!! That spurred us on to score more goals as Brandon scored again after picking up a loose puck and firing it in between the goalies legs, and he did it again after a shot from Parker and he banged in the rebound for a 5-1 lead after two periods. The third period was the Mitch K show, as he fired a rocket shot that went in and out of the net so fast that we looked at ourselves as to say "Did that go in?" He then took another blueline shot later on, and it hit a Mount Forest player in front of the net and bounced in for another goal. Conlan then put another puck in on a tip in,and quickly after that Josh carried the puck in down low and passed the puck over to Brandon, who scored another goal on a deke, and the game ended with a 9-2 win.
