Saugeen Storm comes to Chesley
It was the first Friday night game and the first game for the Dogs playing in Chesley.  The players proved that they were up for the challenge.  They kept the spirit of hockey alive...

as the Storm had a few more players and taller players than the Dogs but this did not change their game!  Our Dogs controlled the play, keeping the puck in the Storm's end, solid "D" from Halle, Grace, Austin and Wyatt on the blue line.  A few times, there were quick rushes towards the Storm's net and some great shots.  I think that Wyatt is practicing for his turn in net, as he helped Nathan with some awesome saves!!  That's called helping each other out!
Nathan was solid between the pipes, making save after save,  even the butterfly save was shown.  You kept the team in the game, way to go Nathan!  What can I say about the forwards, George was quick to the puck, Tori skated strong, Kolby made some neat dikes around the Storm players, Ryan was found in front of their net working on his shot, JJ was digging in the corners, Tina was winning the face-off's and Josh was flying from one-end-to the-other!!
Austin took a hooking penalty, ( don't worry about it Austin), and the team knew how to skate it off.  They kept the play in the Storm's end the entire time!!  Great job team!!  The final score, did not reflect the true play from this team, a 3-0 win for the Storm, do not be discouraged Ice Dogs, keep playing, skating, passing, digging and most importantly having  FUN and your turn will happen!!!

Next up for the Ice Dogs, practice Sunday in Tara at 12:00 and practice on Tuesday night in Tara at 6:00pm.
Keep your stick on the ice and keep shooting!
