Show-down in Tara
Well, Ice Dog fans, it was a great game on Sunday as the novice whites hosted the Saugeen Storm.  As the team took to the ice, cheering "were red, were white, let's go Ice Dogs" I knew that this game was going to be filled with lots of spirit!!

A true definition of "taking one for the team", was shown by Kolby as Nathan was running alittle late and Kolby strapped on the pads to play net.  Thanks Kolby!  This game change did not through our Dogs off at all, it was back to business.  The Dogs controlled most of the play, keeping the Storm out of our end, and it paid-off, as we were on the board first.  There was a lot of team work shown for the goal, both as they were scoring and the after celebrations!  Way to go Dogs!  Each and every player did an excellent job in the game, from skating, passing, covering your "man" to at one point we had 2 goalies!!  That's team-work!!  Even though the final score does not reflect how the game was played, keep going with all of these great improvements!!

As, I looked over at the bench during the game and have watched practices, it is hard to tell who is having more fun, is it the players? Or the coaching staff?  This staff have been working hard with all of our Dogs, showing them new skills and helping to improve on their individual development.  A huge hockey helmet salute to coach Dan, Scott, Bob, Scott, Brett, Melissa and Heather for all of their time and dedication shown to this team.  I would also like to thank parent rep Karen and Matt for keeping the jerseys looking and smelling great.  It takes many hands to make a team work and run smoothly.  Thanks for all that you do!!

Next up for our whites, game night in Chesley on Friday, November 28.  Puck drops at 7:00pm vs Saugeen Storm.
Come on out and cheer on this great team as they show their love for the sport!

Keep your stick on the ice and keep up the true sportsmanship!!
