The Atom Girls are off to a Stellar Start!
With two regular season games under their belts, the Atom Girls are off to a great start!
The Atom girls hit the ice for the first game of the season, delivering a resounding 10-1 win against Walkerton during AEMHA's first "Hockey Day in Arran-Elderslie". We started the season off with a bang!
Our second game we traveled to play against the West Grey Wildcats and within the first minute of the game we had a breakaway and goal by Savonna S. This opened the flood gates and started off our goal streak! With Sophia S. scoring and Emily M. with 2 more goals. We finished off the first period with a 4-0 lead.
Emily M. scored once more off her own rebound and again after a great pass from Annie M. to finish off a natural hat trick. Savonna S. scored her second goal of the game to end the second period with Ice Dogs leading 7-0.
Third period saw more play in our end and a little more action for our goalie, Cameryn G. We were able to keep the Wild Cats away from the net and produce three more goals from Cassie W., Emily M. and Leah G.
We ended the game with a shut out for Cameryn and a 10-0 win!
Assists went to Sidney S., Annie M., Lindsay C., Leah G., Abby W., Sophia S. and Savonna S.
