Hats off to the
Peewee Rep boys for a game five win against Shallow Lake.
The series started in Shallow Lake with a penalty filled 5-4 win by the home squad. Game two saw the boys working harder and had more jump after a pregame speech by president Calhoun ending in a 4-2 win. With Shallow Lake winning the coin toss game 3 was back in their barn. The game started with a goal 6.5 seconds in by AE but then followed up in the second with 3 goals by SL. With things looking grim AE tied the game in the second and went on to win with a point shot cannon by Corson. Game 4 back in Tara saw a second overtime game played with SL squeaking out the win to force a fifth and deciding game in Shallow Lake. The game saw SL strike first but was followed up four minutes later by a goal to knot things up in the second. At the 11:49 mark of the third AE went ahead then completed the game with an empty netter. Arran-Elderslie will now go on to represent the WOAA DD peewee division against Flesherton of the Georgian Bay loop. Hats off also to Shallow Lake for a hard fought series. Lets Go Icedogs.
