Good battle for the Pee Wee L L White Division Final.
The Pee Wee Red took on the the Mitchell Meteors in the best of three final and put up a hard fight to bow out in two games.
After a little bit of a lay off, we fell behind early in the first game and never recovered to a well playing Mitchell team. The third period was our best period for sure as we played together as a team which resulted in a PP goal by Mitch VV after a mad scramble and another goal by Bradley AH all alone in front of the net. We just couldn't catch up the rest of the game so we ended this game thinking the next one will be different.
Game two in Mitchell was a totally different game to start as we came out flying, with Parker scoring two goals in the first period, one on a crazy scramble in front and the other from a pass from behind the net by Mitch VV, putting us up 2-1 after the first period.
The second period had Bradley making great saves to bail us out, and Bradley AH scored a beauty end-to-end goal in the top corner to tie it 3-3 going into the last period.
This period was a tough one as the Mitchell team played hard hockey and we couldn't get any more goals in, heading to a 7-3 loss. We played hard but Mitchell was the better team in the end, and we came home with a finalist medal to show for all our hard teamwork all year.
Hold your heads up high Team Red, you did well to end the year!!!
