Two more games in the 'home and away' series have two different outcomes!!!
The Pee Wee Red Dogs played Bruce Peninsula and Saugeen Shores #3 this weekend and came out with a win and a loss.
Against Bruce Peninsula, the first period had no scoring at all but really changed in the second as we scored 5 goals, starting with a end to end rush by Bradley AH, ending in a nice deke by Brock Mc then passed to a wide open Mitch VV, who fired in a wrister. Later Brock took a shot and Mitch VV put in the rebound for another goal (assisted by Ethan B). Later Brock passed to an open Mitch VV at the side of the net and 'bang' another goal was produced. The period ended with a point shot by Bradley, and Brock put the puck in to go up 5-0. The third period had Brock banking in a goal off the BP's goalies back for one goal and Bradley ended the game how it started with a end to end rush to score the 7th goal to end a fast game at 7-1.
The Saugeen Shores game was a different game altogether as we went ahead 2-1 after two periods after a scramble around the net had Mitch VV roofing one goal and Brock doing a 'wrap a round' goal to end two periods.
The third period had us continuing to do our bad habits and it burnt us twice as SS scored two goals and we lost it in the end 3-2. In order to move on in this series, we need to keep our heads up and pass more to open guys and not get caught on odd man rushes as a team. Bradley bailed us out in net and we Red Dogs will get better and come back next game with a great team effort !!!
