Great tourney in Seaforth and even better game against TCDMHA makes a good week !!!
After making it to the semis in Seaforth, the Red Dogs went to Keady and outlasted them 8-3.
The Seaforth experience was a success (well almost) when we beat Mooretown 4-3, as Bradley with a backhand goal and another one on his knees, a point shot goal by Mitch K, and after a beauty pass from Mitch K to Mitch VV for the last goal, we moved on Dorchester, which ended in a 2-2 tie as Bradley made fantastic save after save and Mitch VV scored on a Logan shot, and Bradley AH from Mitch VV to supply the scoring. Up next was BCH, and guess what, another tie !!! This time it was 1-1 with Bradley supplying the only goal for us on a mad scramble in front.
After all the hard work by the Red Dogs in the first three games, we decided to put up a 'stinker' in the semifinal as nothing worked right and we went home trying to remember all the good things we did to get us this far in the tourney.
Two days later we started our playoff round with a 'home and away' series against 4 other teams and we took on TCDMHA Rebels in the famous Keady arena. The game was a 'scramble' affair with both teams all over the ice creating many scoring chances. Bradley started the goal parade with 2 goals in the game, followed by Mitch VV with 3, and Brock Mc with two goals and Ethan B with one 'tilt-a-whirl' goal in a up and down 8-3 win. Pucks were 'floating' or 'bouncing' in the net all game, and Bradley had to be on his game to keep us in this fast paced game in a cold and small arena.
