Last two games were like a yo-yo ...
as we played totally different games, losing the first one against a rough and tumble West Grey 7-3 and coming from behind against Saugeen Shores #3 in the crazy third period to win 8-5.
West Grey gave us many PP's ( even a couple 5 on 3's ) as they sat in the box 9 times to our 4, with one player racking up four penalties. The difference in the game was that we only scored one PP goal, and with us trailing 4-1 going into the third period, we just couldn't come back. Ethan B and Bradley A H with two ( after playing up forward in the third period from defence) scored our goals in the game, which we soon forgot heading into the next game in Port Elgin.
This game had lots of action, starting in the second period, when after a Bradley A H shot through traffic, Liam G pounced on the rebound for the goal, but 10 seconds later it was all tied up. This period had end to end action, and it ended 2-2 after a rifle shot by Bradley A H high in the top corner.
The third period was a complete shoot-out, with goals galore, starting with Brock M, followed by Mitch VV, a weird goal by Parker, Bradley again on a beauty backhander, Brock with a empty net goal, and another one by Brock on his knees( go figure) and the game ended in a 'run and gun' Leaf type, 8-5 win.
After all that, its time for some practices until our next game after Christmas, so with that I would wish all our Ice Dog fans and teams a safe and happy Christmas.
