Game 2 a nail-biter in Tara
Game 2 of our OMHA series with Lucknow was a back-and-forth battle in Tara.  In fact, it was so even, overtime decided nothing.

The Ice Dogs started the game a little like the last with a good chance on the opening face off, but this time Lucknow seemed a little more ready for us.  Our own intensity was down a notch, and with a little more space to move, the Sepoys used it to create more chances in game 2.

Both teams traded golden opportunities in the first, but in every case, the puck rolled, was deflected, or in a few cases, was just shot wide of the open net.  After two periods of deadlocked play, no one could break the 0-0 tie.  Early in the third, the Ice Dogs had some sustained pressure, but still no goal came of it.  Then during a little Sepoy pressure, Will managed a lone-ranger rush with a few tips that culminated with a nice deke to put us up 1-0.  But just when you thought a single goal might do it, Lucknow responded three minutes later on what might have been the only lucky bounce for either side in the game.  Regardless, their winger found the puck on his stick to the right side and buried it.

Both teams even had a shot at a power play in the game, but to no avail.  However, in sudden-death overtime, Lucknow was called for a second penalty, and the end looked promising.  Defended well, not much came of the Dog pp, and when the buzzer went, both teams earned a well-deserved point.

The 6-point series is now led by the Ice Dogs, 3-1.  Next action is Monday at 6 in Lucknow.
