Good start to OMHA playoffs
Tonight the Ice Dogs hosted Lucknow for the first game of the round 1 OMHA play-offs.  With a goal 13 seconds in, it was bound to be a good night.

En route to winning their first playoff game, the Ice Dogs seemed to bottle up the Sepoys, taking away most of their time and space.  Further, the home team seemed a little hungrier tonight, getting pucks to the net, complete with some pretty passes.

Braydon opened the scoring early on, tapping in a golden pass from Will--one of several tape-to-tape beauties on the night.  But on the power play just five minutes later, Lucknow tied it up.  And again in the second, after the Ice Dogs regained the lead late in the first on a beauty by Brett, another powerplay goal evened the score.  But late in the second the Dogs took the lead for good on a tap in from Spenser before Braydon netted his second of the game early in the final frame.

For the first time in a long time the Ice Dogs managed sustained pressure on the opponent's net.  And, as we've seen many times this season, when the rink tilted our way, Tyson was there to bail us out.

Up 2 points in the series, the Ice Dogs' next action will be hosting game 2 Saturday morning in Tara.

Now that the playoffs are here, most curses seem 'put to bed'.  Ric and Sarah were in attendance; and the Ice Dogs were wearing white!  As Braydon put it at the end of the match, "that just leaves the curse of morning games"...that is, until Saturday! Go Dogs Go!
