Stormy Outing in Southampton
IceDogs met the Saugeen Storm in Southampton and discovered that the Dogs will have to pull together to pull off a win against this team!  This outing went to Saugeen Shores.  Final:  them: 5, Us:  2.  Next game, the Dogs will be battening down the hatches, so watch out!

The IceDogs were finding it challenging to get a good run going against the Storm.  It was one of those games that we couldn't catch a break.  We rang the post several times.  We had a two person advantage and couldn't capitalize on it.  We picked up  a couple of soft penalties that the Storm made good use of.  It was one of those days.

The IceDogs went into the third period with nothing on the board and the Storm sitting with three.  But the third period was a little glimmer of hope.  At 8:14, with a great pass from (#6) Chayse, and some hard work in front of the net, Will (#13) got us on the board.  But the Storm were not pleased, and went to work on adding a couple more to their tally.  But the sign of a good team is that no matter what, you play until you hear the buzzer and the IceDogs did!  After some messing around in our end, the defense were able to get the puck to Mitch (#19).  He kept that puck in his control until he could get it past their goalie.  And he did.  With only 1:46 left on the clock!  We couldn't add to our total, but it wasn't 'cause they weren't trying!

IceDogs will be looking to freeze the Storm in our next meeting!  Go Dogs!

And special note to Manager Devon for standing through the pain!  (Next time he walks across the ice surface with crutches, I hope to get it all on video!)
