Then On Sunday, The IceDogs Saw The Light!
The IceDogs find they play really well in Keady!  It was a "do or don't do" day and the Doggies did it!  They also tied up the series with that win.  Final score.  2 for us. 1 for Rebels.  Game 5 in Paisley, Wed nite. Should be WILD!

The IceDogs knew they had to put the metal to the ice surface to keep in it.  Tyson was about to play the game of his life.  The Rebels would be letting their frustration on the IceDogs tenacity leak out with little shots behind the sight line of the striped shirts.  It would have to be a fast game with very few penalties for us to work off.  It would be quite the game.

And we, the fans, were not disappointed!

The IceDogs got their first goal with only 36 seconds left with some handy work by Lawson (#8).  And again, a last second goal at the end of the period was fuel for great energy in the second.  We thought we had the second goal right away but it was waved away.  Then our goalie was challenged and despite almost losing his nose during one of several crazy scrambles in front of his crease, he made the save!  Tyson was all over it in this game.  He caught it out of the air.  He smothered the puck even when a Rebel was sitting on his back!  But he was often alone during wild Rebel flaying rushes and eventually the Rebels would sneak one past during our only penalty in the third period.  It was tied up now.

It all came down to the third period.  We got our second goal in the final period by some great stickhandling by Austin (#16).  Beauty!  The score was either 2 to 1, as in my notes, or 3 to 1, as displayed by the Keady scoreboard.  Since it was in our favour, either is fine.  Rebels pull their goal in the dying minutes but the clock runs down.  What an exciting game and well-matched series this has turned out to be!!  Series is tied up at two apiece now.
