NOVICE LL ICE DOGS GET FIRST WIN OF THE SEASON!!!
A 3 game in 3 day stretch brought a bunch of firsts for the Ice Dogs. Short bodies, we took the ice Friday night vs TDCMHA. ( One Coach per player on the bench!!!)

We took control of the game right away putting all sorts of pressure on the TDCMHA goalie. Finally late in the first Logan snuck one by on the PP. Both teams traded goals in the second with Chance scoring with the assist going to Tylee. TDCHMA's goalie was standing on his head keeping them in the game. The third period saw some aggressive play as Josh and Chance who spent some time in the sin bin. Keeping playing hard boys, it shows you are here to play!!!! Nic broke away with great speed and put a beauty deak on TDCMHA keeper, sealing our first win with a 3 to 1 score.
Saturday we headed north to face Bruce Pen. Short bodies again, we took it to the Wild getting a early lead with Logan scoring two in the first. Bruce Pen tied it up and then we traded goals with Nic scoring late in the first. Congrats to Liam who scored his first goal of the season in the second. Just shows it is never a bad idea to shoot as Liam beat the goalie from outside the blueline!!!! Tied heading into the third, with a suspeciuos 15min peroiod length we trudged on trying to keep our legs moving. Unfortunatley the only highlight was Logan scoring notching his first hat trick of the season. Just think what he will be able to do when we get him a stick that is the right size for him!!!! Wild 10 AEMHA 5.
Sunday saw us turn right at Tim's for a game with Shallow Lake. With at least two full lines we had some great energy but ran into a hot Lakers goalie. With lots of end to end action we couldn't get a bounce or a break. Tyson kept us in the game with some great saves but in the end we came out on the wrong side of a 5-0 score.
The coaching staff couldn't have been prouder of the hard work and fantastic attiutde shown by the team. We are now looking like a team that means business!!! Who needs the NHL when we have great games to watch in our own towns!!!! Keep up the good work and see you at the rink!!!!
