Tough Week-end for Novice LL
With Saturday and Sunday games vs the Storm we knew we were in store for a challenging week-end.

The coaching staff was extremely happy with the attitude and effort from the team on Saturday!!! The Ice Dogs played their best period yet dominating the play, and keeping the storm trapped in their end for most of the first period.
Congrats to Nic for scoring his first of the season with assists going to Meghan and Rob. Keep shooting Nic and success will follow!! The second was a back and forth battle with many scoring chances but we just couldn't finish. Once we lost some momentum, #14 for the storm took over scoring 5 of the 6 storm goals. (Not sure he ever left the ice?) Showing class and good sportmanship we congratulated them on the win. Good job keeping your heads held high after a great effort.
After another great first period on Sunday seeing several scoring chances for the dogs, the big ice at the Plex took its toll. Unable to beat the Storm goalie and energy low our bad habits returned. Hockey Stick salute to Tyson for hanging in there and working hard making lots of great saves.
Next week-end sees 3 games in 3 days, (who made this schedule anyways?)
Hopefully we can build on the positives from Saturday and find our first win.
See you at the rink!!!
