GREAT EFFORT TO START THE SEASON!!!!
Emotions were high for the ice dogs as it was the firts "real" hockey game for almost all the players.A 5 to 1 loss to the Shallow Lake Lakers didn't get us down as the dressing room was all smiles after the game.
The first period ended with no scoring as Tyson turned the Lakers away with each scoring chance. The Lakers scored back to back in the second, but that only made the ice dogs more determined. We bounced back with Justin and Owen setting up Griffen on a break away where he wasted no time beating the Lakers golaie for his first of the year. We couldn't catch a break with a bouncing puck in the third, and the Lakers pulled away for the win.
A great effort by the whole team with an extra pat on the back for Tyson, Rob and Logan for their great defensive effort. Keep up the hard work and our fisrt win will be right around the corner!!!! Next action is Friday night in Tara vs Saugeen Shores.
